Brecht
Bertolt Brecht was born in 10 February 1898 and died at 14 August 1956. He was a German playwright , Marxist poet and theater director. Brecht lived in the comfortable middle class. His mother were protestant and his father were catholic. As he was 16, the first world war broke out. He started to write newspaper articles and people started to know him under the name Bert Brecht. In July 1919, Bertolt Brecht had a son with Paula Banholzer. Fearing persecution, Bert left Germany in February 1933, when Hitler took power, and moved to Denmark. During the war years, Brecht published his most famous plays like Life of Galileo. With this plays he expressed his opposition to the National Socialist and Fascist movements. Finally Brecht died on 14 August 1956 of a hearth attack when he was 58 years old. He is buried in Berlin. He was one of the most famous playwright in the whole world and nowadays his plays are still performed by many famous people. Brecht improved the whole view of dramas and plays, so that he will always be one of the best playwright in the world. Also many of his plays got translated into other languages like English.
